Broughton Anglican College seeks to provide opportunities for students, who have displayed a level of excellence in identified areas, to develop their gifts and talents in a Christian environment. 

The College seeks to develop a culture of excellence. By offering scholarships, Schools Council aims to encourage students to demonstrate they are committed to the achievement of excellence in their chosen field. 

Requirements & Eligibility

Students who display a high level of ability and commitment in Drama may apply for a Creative and Performing Arts Scholarship.

Broughton’s Creative and Performing Arts programs emphasis is on creativity, innovation, flexibility and working together. Applications are sought from students who are willing to showcase their talents through performance and / or exhibitions and who are willing to participate in the College’s cocurricular programs. Awardees of Creative and Performing Arts Scholarships - Drama are expected to fully participate in the dramatic life of the College and seek ways in which to support and improve drama performance within the College.

Next Steps

Applicants for Creative and Performing Arts Scholarships are required to complete a Broughton Scholarship Application form and provide a Portfolio. Candidates are requested to submit a portfolio outlining details of their ability, training, performance and achievements and results in appropriate external competitions. Information relating to involvement in cocurricular activities should also be provided. Applicants will be required to undertake an audition for scholarships. 

Applicants for Creative and Performing Arts Scholarships are requested to submit a Portfolio that includes:

  • Details of drama training and performance
  • Evidence of high achievement in cocurricular activities within the school environment or local community
  • Evidence of ongoing practice.
  • Evidence of ongoing engagement with art outside of school.
